Our life in today’s cutthroat world is in turmoil, it is an unremitting struggle, with nothing original, nothing ingenious.
Many couples today find themselves coping with a frantic work life with a similarly hectic home life. From children to livelihood to simply getting enough sleep, everything is manipulating life today.
The quandary is that, even if a couple is sharing a strong bond as parents, their relationship may become vulnerable if it is sexless, and eventually it becomes the specter that no one wants to talk about. If one partner has a superior sex coerce than the other partner, the lack of bodily intimacy becomes a source of bitterness and anger resulting in added strain and anxiety further escalating the stress and sequentially pushing sex further down the list.
Studies show that sex is one of the main issues couples argue about, often more than money, household work or any other common sources of disagreement. Sex is actually one of those issues that women penchant to keep bottled up as they are afraid of educing an angry reaction from the partner.
Numerous men react to their partner’s sex ignorance by fighting, which triggers the brain’s clash, and it is this provoking approach that may increase one’s blood pressure, raise the heart rate, and may cause serious cardiac diseases. The disagreeing reaction can be just as detrimental for women. It may lead to self-silencing cram of emotions that may result in nervousness, depression, and a surge of unhealthful behaviors.
Whether they are quarrelling or allowing bitterness to build, a couple will drift away from physical intimacy that is an essential part of reconnecting and reducing stress in life. As they begin to feel more detached, they are not apt to sense the sexuality, and disparaging cycles begins. One or both allies may bend towards sex-substitutes, which generally come in the shape of comfort eating, excessive intake of alcohol and even the drug use, or, if the sex ignorance dilemma goes on too long it may lead to adultery. However, these are not solution to the problem quite the opposite in fact, drinking too much alcohol for example can cause sexual dysfunction, which definitely will make the situation worse. Alcohol obstructs the lubrication, cause erectile function, and reduces sexual desire.
The solution is simple, education, education and knowledge is the best way to fight sexual frustration. Talking to each other is the first step, healthy communication between lovers is the first step. Acknowledging the problem, identifying the problem and seeking treatment. If the problem is stress then a more relaxed lifestyle may do the trick, take a vacation!. If stress reduction is not a possibility then accruing stress regulation techniques are very helpful. Know that you leave your work life at work and you don’t bring it home with you. A supporting home environment may help in that mission, try to make the home front a fortress of calmness and happiness, a place you can retire to at the end of each day and take a load of. Treatment is the name of the game. The worst thing you can do is nothing. Seek help, help yourself, talk to each other, seek happiness.
