How to Treat the Flu Virus without Medication

Flu is an infection that can develop into multiple illnesses that are caused by influenza viruses. Most people who suffer from the virus will feel miserable and weak. Some of the symptoms are high fever, chills, body ache, severe headache, sore throat, muscle pain, dry cough, weakness, stuffy nose, tiredness, uneasiness and nausea. There are two strains of flu that’s being spread around the United States which are seasonal flu and the H1N1 flu. Symptoms of the H1N1 virus can include vomiting and diarrhea.

There is not a cure for getting rid of flu infections. Vaccines and flu shots are available for treating the flu virus but are helpful for certain flu strains. As well as, flu remedies are available to prevent the flu or to treat someone that’s already infected with the virus. Seasonal flu outbreak occur in the late fall throughout early spring. The virus is easily passed in the winter months because the virus is able to stay alive longer in the cold weather. Anyone who breathes in contaminated air can become infected with the flu virus. In short, natural remedies can help a person recover faster from the virus or prevent the person from getting infected with the virus. Keep the Body Hydrated

Most people lose a lot of water when suffering from the flu. Drinking at least eight glasses of water a day will help the body from becoming dehydrated. Also, you can drink juices that contain vitamins. Drinks like coffee, alcoholic beverages and sodas should be avoided because the drinks will make the body lose water instead of retaining water.

 

Include Vitamin C in Your Diet

Vitamin C helps the immune system to fight against viruses and diseases. In addition, the best Vitamin C supplement is the one that contains bioflavonoid. The Vitamin C with bioflavonoid is more effective at boosting the immune system. As well as, eating food that contains the supplement will help with adding Vitamin C to the diet.

 

Keep the Inside and Outside of the Nose Clean

During the winter, the nose is filled with liquid and mucus. You will need to blow the nose. Next, a cotton ball should be dipped in warm and salty water. The cotton ball should be use to clean out the nose. The cleaning of the nose will need to be done at least two to three times a day. This can prevent anything from settling in the nose and developing into a virus. As well as, a saline nasal spray can be used in the nose to keep the virus from germinating. The hands should be washed every time the nose is blown with antiseptic soap.

 

The virus can be passed by turning a door knob. You will want to wash hands on a regular basis and keep the hands away from the face. In addition, gargling two to three times a day will kill any bacteria that form in the mouth. Furthermore, washing hands frequently and following natural remedies will treat the flu virus.
